RACINE, Wis. -- It came down to the last minute.
Racine St. Catherine's had a 7-point lead, but Racine Lutheran made one last drive down the field.
The Crusaders scored and went for the 2-point conversion for the win.They had to go for two, as kicker Josh Hlavacek was injured on a punt earlier in the game.St. Caterine's Elijua Smith made a hit that saved the game. The ball popped loose and St. Catherine was able to sit on the ball to finish the game."Eli came up with that huge hit," Angels coach Dan Miller said."We weren't susposed to be in this game at the half," Miller said. "This was a huge win for us."St. Catherine (4-3) delivered Racine Lutheran's first loss of the season."We made some mistakes, and you have to give credit to their team for taking advantage of it," Racine Lutheran coach Scott Smith said at the half.
